In here,There are brothers and sisters of the immaculate Heart of Mary, a retreat center,many statues and the stations of the cross,There is also a huge ground,which can accommodate over 30 thousand peoples.

    


According to the government rules, The head of a criminal against the state was hung on top of a pole and body was left in the site for three days for the purpose of warning to the peoples and catholics
But Kim Tae-Gon's body was buried immediately in the site where SaeNamTo,and was guarded by some soldiers after he martyred on Sep 16,1846.

Courageous Yi Min-Sik (1829-1921) successfully dug Father Kim's body out at nights,braving the watching guards,forty days after his martyrdom.


He carried father Kim's body to MiRiNae,his home village. It took him seven days to walk about 60 KM, he could only travel after nightfall.


Yi Min-Sik  should be highly praised for his fervent faith and great courage.
And he buried Father Kim's body in his family cemetery,and took care of the grave day and night.

Min_sik Yi lived until the age of 92,and is buried near the grave of Father Kim.
He wanted to become a priest when he was 40 year old,but his desire was not fulfulled

Bishop Ferreol,who died seven years later in 1853,is buried beside Father Kim according to his own desire.
He had said that ;
"You will never know how sad I was to lose this native priest ! I have loved him as a father loved his son.It is a consolation for me to think of his eternal happiness"

                                                           

Ko Ursula's Tomb

                       
Ko Ursula,Father Kim's mother,suffered hardships and died in misery.
She lost her husband and son over a 7 years period of time.
She begged around for her living until she died.
Ko Ursula buried beside her son Father Kim by Yi Min-Sik .
